Middle East is a region that is very unique and complex. Many inter-state conflict and upheaval, even revolution in the country in several countries in the region. Arab Spring revolution has occurred in the Middle East, and the shedding happens in Egypt, Libya, Syria, and spread to several countries in Africa. No wonder that a violation of human rights in various parts of Africa and the Middle East.

U.S. State Department praised the 2011 revolution, the Middle East in the annual report of human rights around the world. However, department officials noted it would take more time to put an end to human rights abuses in Arab countries. Although the elections have taken place in Egypt, but there are still many basic liberties that cannot be carried out independently.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Barack Obama pledged to maintain pressure on the Syrian regime and to defend human rights in the Middle East. It is emphasized Obama before the U.S. Congress. However, he does not convey new ideas to stop the bloodshed in the Arab world.

Over the last two years the major countries in the Middle East has been in turmoil following the pro-democracy demonstrations that sparked the revolution in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, and now civil war in Syria.

United States involved in the uprising that toppled enemies like Libya Muammar Gaddafi and Hosni Mubarak. Unfortunately, this intervention left the country in chaos or turmoil still going on.

The UN says 70,000 people have been killed in fighting between Syria's brutal regime of Bashar al-Assad and the rebel forces. The UN was invited to the U.S. to find a solution. Unfortunately, Obama is planning to travel to this region does not give the new plan, but Obama said, "We will keep the pressure on the Syrian regime which has killed its own people and support opposition leaders who respect the right of every Syrian."

Malala, the inspiration

We still remember the tragic story of Malala Yousafzai,   a teenager fighting for the right to education for girls in Pakistan, but he sprayed bullets by the Taliban. We are very grateful to this girl could have been saved his life after being treated in the UK. Malala has now been healthy; she would write a blog about human rights education for girls. Hopefully she survived and successfully achieves her dreams for girls and women, not only in Pakistan, but is able to inspire millions of people around the world.

We also became aware that human rights violations not only done a bunch of extremists in the name of religion, the regime or the military, but it turned out to civil society can commit human rights violations, such as the brutal rape that occurred in India on a student in India. The Rape is very cruel and brutal; she finally died at a hospital in Singapore.

Is the dream of mankind to enjoy freedom can happen in this century? Is the world retreated deep into the dark ages; the world is not becoming more sophisticated with advances in science and technology. Therefore we, the activists, human rights organizations and human rights commissions around the world must remain strong to fight for basic rights in each country, and we hope the world is raising awareness on this issue.
